Sydney Central YHA awarded in Qantas Australian Tourism Awards in March 2011

Ryan Lawyers acted for YHA in the construction of Sydney Central YHA, which has been awarded Australia’s best back packer accommodation.  Ryan Lawyers’ role involved negotiation with SHFA on an agreement for lease and long term lease, as well as a construction contract with Built. The construction site was challenging for reasons including that it contained aboriginal archaeological relics.  The construction costs were in excess of $20 million.
